Tottenham this afternoon make the trip to the Premier League’s bottom side Southampton.
Antonio Conte’s side lead fifth-placed Newcastle by only a point after the latter’s injury-time win over Nottingham Forest on Friday night and must leave the south coast with a victory if they are to remain in the driving seat for the top four.
It was also Forest who gave Spurs the perfect platform on which to get a much-needed win last week. So poor for most of the first half, Spurs recovered from a difficult week to breathe fresh life into their Champions League challenge.

Saints, meanwhile, are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the division. While it has been an awful season, they have at least picked up points against Chelsea and Manchester United of late, which should serve as a warning to their visitors.
