US animation South Park has continued its ongoing feud with US president Donald Trump with an obscene vulgar scene at the end of its latest episode.
The long-running satire, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, included a scene in its latest episode in which Trump – depicted using deepfake technology – can be sitting on the toilet, with his animated talking penis shown on screen.
Titled “Billionaire Weenietown”, the episode mostly focuses on the arrival of a data centre in the town of South Park – recently renamed South America, in a dig at Trump’s renaming of the Gulf of Mexico.
South Park’s supporting character Butters spends much of the episode attempting to discourage a village of “highly invasive” billionaire “weenies” who have moved into his backyard. In the show, the billionaires are depicted as tiny anthropomorphic penises.
While Butters eventually manages to strike a deal, the episode then cuts to a live-action, deepfaked Trump, with audio from one of the president’s controversial PSAs playing in the background.
Trump is seen sitting on the toilet while reading his phone, before the camera reveals his tiny genital organ, which sings “We’re In the Money” before flying away.
The scene has been described as South Park’s “most degrading and humiliating attack on Trump” to date.
In recent seasons, South Park has been relentless in its mockery of the president, with Trump featuring as a recurring character during South Park’s previous season.
At the Emmy Awards last month, South Park won its fifth award for Best Animated Show – its first win since 2013.
In an interview with The New York Times last year, co-creators Stone and Parker explained why Trump had been such a prominent target throughout the last season.
“It’s not that we got all political,” said Parker. “It’s that politics became pop culture.”
Stone said that criticising the Trump administration had become “taboo”.
“Trey and I are attracted to that like flies to honey. Oh, that’s where the taboo is? Over there? OK, then we’re over there,” he continued.
“We’re just very down-the-middle guys,” added Parker. “Any extremists of any kind we make fun of. We did it for years with the woke thing. That was hilarious to us. And this is hilarious to us.”
