South London residents rally to save their community's last remaining bank

Hundreds of New Addington residents have signed petitions to save the area’s last remaining bank, warning that its closure could deepen isolation for elderly and vulnerable residents on the outskirts of Croydon.

The Lloyds branch on Central Parade is set to close, potentially for good, on January 14, 2026.
