Building work has been completed on the new South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone hub in Holbeach.
Construction company RG Carter has handed over the property ready for businesses to move in. The new hub is being delivered by a partnership made up of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, Lincolnshire County Council, South Holland District Council and the University of Lincoln.
It will have space for workshops and offices and provide SMEs with support services, networking, meeting, and events areas. Tenants will be offered a “specialised, collaborative environment” to share ideas and be at the heart of innovation in the agricultural-tech industry. The food industry is reported to be the fastest growing sector in the UK and employs more people than any other industry.
