South Lanarkshire Council will hold services to mark Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday

South Lanarkshire Council is marking Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday with a range of events.

Firstly, the local authority will hold an Armistice Day service at the VC Memorial in Hamilton on Friday, November 11, and the service will begin at 10.50am with two minutes’ silence being held at 11am.

There will be Remembrance Sunday services at cenotaphs in Larkhall and East Kilbride on Sunday, November 13, a at 10.50am with two minutes’ silence at 11am.

There will also be two minutes’ silence held at Bothwell Park Cenotaph at 3pm.
