South Lanarkshire Council is looking to expand and improve Care at Home services across East Kilbride.
The local authority is hoping to transform the service through a range of new approaches to bring positive improvements to those who receive the service.
A number of positions have opened for people who want to enter the care environment, this has been made possible by significant investment into the service which will operate seven days a week and will focus on supporting service users to regain or attain skills and abilities and to promote independence within their own home.
Home carers within the Care at Home service will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, community nurses and social care professionals to support, motivate and inspire people to re-learn daily skills to enhance their quality of life.
The new service will offer employees the opportunity to develop skills in a professional and supported environment and to make a difference, training will be provided as well as funded opportunities to gain qualifications in health and social care.
A number of flexible opportunities are available for people wanting to work in this new environment, experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
