There are a plethora of events taking place in and around South Gloucestershire this week to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Residents and communities will be able to get involved in everything from street parties to beacon lighting, library events and more.
To help local communities come together to celebrate such a momentous historical event, South Gloucestershire Council waived charges for street parties and events in public open spaces and also supported 30 community Jubilee events with a combined total of £50,000 in grant funding. There will be more than 100 road closures for the events and activities taking place during the extended Bank Holiday weekend.
You can find full details of all road closures in South Gloucestershire on the council's website or by scrolling down for a copy of the full list. And for those communities who are hosting a street party, the council has put together some advice and guidance to help save money, reduce waste, support local produce and protect the environment here.
