South Carolina had the perfect response to a pre-game Clemson hype tweet after the Gamecocks stunned the Tigers on Saturday.
Before kickoff, Clemson posted a photo of an ominous-looking tiger with glowing eyes approaching what looked to be a pre-game rooster snack.
Well, South Carolina (+14) took away that tiger’s appetite with a 31-30 Gamecock victory in Death Valley.
The win came on the heels of Clemson coach Dabo Swinney poking at Tennessee for losing to the Gamecocks, which sparked its own internet clapbacks.
South Carolina had some trolling of its own, but it had much more to do with the outcome of that tiger-gamecock standoff that Clemson teased before the game.
Spoiler alert: it didn’t go well for the tiger.

Well, you never want to count on eating your chickens until they’re down the hatch. Clemson learned the hard way what happens when you pay for the meal without getting the food.
As for South Carolina, well, the social media team deserves a raise, or at the very least, a big pizza party.
