South Ayrshire Council is to recruit a senior auditor to help with the local authority’s financial governance processes.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the activities of the local authority by providing “professional advice” and “guidance” in accordance with the council’s policies and procedures.
Essentially, internal auditors have an important role to play in any organisation, ensuring that management has effective systems in place to detect and prevent corrupt practices.
