NEW DELHI: Delhi Capitals' Director of Cricket, Sourav Ganguly, on Wednesday announced that pacers Anrich Nortje and Ishant Sharma have fully recovered from their injuries, providing a significant boost to the team's bowling arsenal ahead of their IPL clash against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Thursday.
Despite a less than ideal start, with a four-wicket loss to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Chandigarh last Saturday, Ganguly emphasised that it's just the beginning of a lengthy tournament. He highlighted the positive aspect for DC, stating that the return to full fitness of players like Nortje and Ishant bodes well for the team's prospects moving forward.
