A couple reignited their romance 30 years later after discovering a stash of love letters - turning “first love” into marriage three decades on.
Kate and Guenther Baer first fell for each other while on holiday in Torquay in 1989 and started a two-year relationship, despite her living in Yorkshire and him in Germany.
Kate, then 17, remembers: “I saw him across the room of a pub and there was an instant spark. He reminded me of the keyboard player from a-ha, who I had a massive crush on.”
