Sophie disappointed by Prince Louis' coronation outfit, says lip reader

Prince Louis was once again in the spotlight at a huge royal occasion after the five-year-old joined his siblings for their grandfather's coronation service at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6.

Louis was regally dressed in a Hainsworth Garter Blue Doeskin Tunic with specially designed lace work embellishment to the collar, cuffs and fronts, made by bespoke Savile Row tailors Dege and Skinner. His leg garment was black complete with Garter Blue stripe.

But according to a lip reader, Sophie, the new Duchess of Edinburgh, voiced her disappointment about the youngster's outfit, the Mirror reports. As Kate guided Louis and Princess Charlotte along the balcony, Sophie reportedly said: "It's a pity Louis didn't wear his shorts." According to Elisabeth Taunton, Prince William offered an explanation for why Louis was in long trousers, who apparently said: "Oh, he didn’t want to wear his shorts" while a smiling and nodding Kate added: "Yeah."
