Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PC and will re-launch on PS5 as Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, with Burning Shores and more. Sony made the announcement in a new PlayStation Blog post and outlined everything the Complete Edition includes, which is more than just the DLC expansion.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition launches on Oct. 6, 2023, for PS5, with an expected release date of sometime in early 2024 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It’ll cost $59.99 on all platforms, and it’s not coming to PS4.
Here’s what you get in the Complete Edition:
- Horizon Forbidden West for PS5
- Burning Shores DLC for PS5
- Digital soundtrack
- Digital art book
- Horizon Zero Dawn Vol. 1: The Sunhawk digital comic book
- Extras in Photo Mode (special pose and face paint)
- Carja Behemoth Elite outfit ·Carja Behemoth Short Bow
- Nora Thunder Elite outfit
- Nora Thunder Sling
- Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike piece
- Resources pack
That’s a decent bit of stuff, considering it all costs $10 less than the game’s PS5 version. Sony didn’t announce a discount for the base game, though given the price jankiness going on, we’d be surprised if one didn’t happen.
Sony also didn’t say whether the PC version would include the same additions or how much it will cost, though it’s available for wishlisting now.
GLHF’s Kirk McKeand called Forbidden West a deeper, richer experience than its predecessor and praised its ecological themes, which help gloss over some of Forbidden West’s pacing issues and shallow character development.
