Sonic the Hedgehog 3: What Is It About?
Ben Schwartz returns to voice Sonic the Hedgehog, an anthropomorphic blue creature who runs at supersonic speed. Sonic reunites with Knuckles (Idris Elba) and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) to battle their toughest opponent to date, Shadow (Keanu Reeves), a red-striped black hedgehog with extreme strength and teleportation.
Per Paramount, “With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.”
Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s ensemble includes Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, Alyla Browne, and Krysten Ritter.
Jeff Fowler directs Sonic 3 from a screenplay by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, based on a story by Casey and Miller.

Per Polymarket, Sonic 3 opening to north of $80 million (-355) is the favorite by a wide margin.
However, don’t expect the film to reach $80 million unless it overperforms. Per Deadline, Sonic 3 should open in the high $50 million to $60 million range.
