Sonder has announced a new generation of its Evol. The alloy enduro bike gets a bump in travel plus some evolutionary updates to keep it up to date.
The Evol is still built using 6061 alloy although now the Horst link suspension system delivers 160mm of travel, compared to the 140mm of the older generation. The bike is also going to be available in a 29er front and 27.5in rear wheel mullet configuration too.
To keep up with potential riding that a bump in travel and mullet wheel setup encourages, Sonder has revised the geometry as well. Although we are yet to see a geometry chart, Sonder says it has slackened the head angle to let riders take on more challenging lines and routes in complete confidence.
SRAM's T-Type Transmission direct mount drivetrain can now be fitted to the Evol as Sonder has adopted the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) standard. Even if you aren't running a T-Type drivetrain, UDH will simplify hanger spare parts as they are easier to get a hold of.
Sonder hasn't offered any details in specs, although based on the build specs from its other ranges, expect a broad spectrum of price points featuring drivetrains from both Shimano and SRAM, suspension from RockShox, and Sonder finishing kit.
Sonder also offers a huge range of spec customization and accessory add-ons at the point of purchase, giving the customer the option to swap components to better fit their needs.
