Son Heung-min's surgery on Friday has got Tottenham fans and South Korean supporters hoping for the best possible news.
The Spurs star went off after just 28 minutes in the Champions League victory at Marseille following a sickening aerial collision which left him groggy and a scan this week showed that the 30-year-old required surgery on Friday to stabilise a fracture around his left eye. With the World Cup almost upon us and South Korea's hopes resting on their star player and captain, all focus is on the success of that surgery.
In the latest episode of their podcast Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham, our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discuss the injury and what a positive outcome to the surgery could mean for Son, looking at others who have had similar injuries such as Kevin De Bruyne.
