Somerset recorded the highest total ever in English domestic T20 cricket after smashing 265 for five in a 191-run Vitality Blast quarter-final mauling of Derbyshire Falcons at Taunton.
Rilee Rossouw led the way with 93 off 36 balls, with seven sixes and eight fours, to become Somerset’s most prolific scorer in a T20 season with 600 runs at an average of 50, with a strike rate of 197.36.
Tom Banton weighed in with 73 from 41 deliveries, while Tom Lammonby laced 31 from nine as the Falcons bowlers, with the notable exception of George Scrimshaw (two for 16), were put to the sword.
