Someone in one part of Wales has won £10,000-a-month for a whole year, but hasn't claimed it. The National Lottery is hunting for the missing winner who won the prize, worth £120,000, on the ‘Set For Life’ draw-based game.
The winner could follow in the footsteps of Paul Bevan, a Welsh builder who won £10,000-a-month for a year just this week and celebrated with a round of bacon butties.
National Lottery players are now being urged to check and double-check their tickets for the chance to claim this life-changing prize. The only thing that's known about the winner is the winning ticket was bought in Bridgend County Borough and matched the five main numbers in the Set For Life draw on April 24, 2023. The winning Set For Life numbers on that date were 4, 8, 10, 38, 43 and the Life Ball was 3. The lucky ticket-holder has until October 21, 2023, to claim their prize. Anyone not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believes they have a genuine claim can still make it in writing to Camelot, but it must be within 30 days of the draw. Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a massive difference to somebody’s life.
“The next 12 months could see the lucky winner banking £10,000 in every single one of those months. We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old Set For Life tickets again – the easiest way to do this is via the National Lottery app – or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. By playing any National Lottery game, players generate more than £30m each week for National Lottery-funded projects.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
