Tributes have been paid to actor Mike Hagerty who passed away at the age of 67.
Sarah Jessica Parker was amongst the celebrities sharing their sadness on social media for the actor best known for playing the building superintendent Mr Treeger in Friends.
Somebody Somewhere co-star Bridget Everett announced the tragic death of the actor who played her well-meaning farmer father Ed Miller.
“With great sadness, the family of Michael G. Hagerty announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles,” she wrote on Instagram.
“A beloved character actor, his love of his hometown of Chicago and his family were the cornerstones of his life.
“Mike, a devoted husband, is survived by his wife Mary Kathryn, his sister Mary Ann Hagerty [and] her wife Kathleen O’Rourke, and their daughter Meg.
“He will be sorely missed.”
She added: “I loved Mike the instant i met him. He was so special. Warm, funny, never met a stranger.
“We are devastated he has passed. Mike was adored by the entire cast and crew of Somebody Somewhere. Our thoughts are with his wife and family.”
Sarah Jessica Parker - who is best known for playing Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City - took to social media to pay tribute to Hagerty.
The 57-year-old actress wrote on Instagram:”‘Heartbreaking. Admired him for years. X.”
The renowned character actor popped up in Wayne’s World, Seinfield, Cheers and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
His cause of death has not been revealed.
