Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Robley awarded the Medal of Honor to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for its distinguished efforts in providing urgent humanitarian and relief assistance in the country.
The prime minister recognized KSrelief's aid to the displaced people who were affected by drought in Somalia. The organization distributed 2,838 tons of food baskets to 254,184 people in need.
The honor was received by the director of KSrelief's branch in Africa, Youssef Al-Rahma.
Robley also presented a Medal of Honor to the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Saleh Al-Mawlid, in recognition of the efforts of his predecessor, Dr. Mohammed Abdulghani Khayat.
The PM received Al-Mawlid and Al-Rahma in Mogadishu for talks on humanitarian and relief affairs.
He expressed his gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and KSrelief for their humanitarian assassitance to Somalia, reflecting the strong relations between their countries.
