Russian soldiers who have refused to fight in the ongoing war in Ukraine have recently faced legal consequences for their actions. Seven soldiers have been handed sentences ranging from two to three years behind bars for their refusal to participate in the conflict during the summer and autumn of the previous year.
One soldier cited bad health as the reason for not reporting to duty. However, the court emphasized that none of the verdicts issued so far are final, with only one case being eligible for appeal.
