A man has been charged with attempted murder after two people were found with stab wounds in the north-west Queensland community of Mount Isa on Friday night.
Police were called to Burke Street at 10.30pm following reports of a serious assault.
A male in his 40s was located with multiple stab wounds and was transported to the Mount Isa Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, a woman in her 20s was located nearby with multiple stab wounds and was also transported to the Mount Isa Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
Police arrested a 23-year-old Soldiers Hill man at the scene.
