Thousands of social welfare claimants across Ireland are being hit by payment date changes as a result of the Easter break.
The Department of Social Protection is advising recipients that they can expect their payments on different days than usual in the coming days.
The changes are as a result of altered opening hours of social welfare offices and Post Offices over Easter.

All Intreo Centres and Branch Offices will be closed on Good Friday, April 15 and Easter Monday, April 18. All offices will reopen as normal on Tuesday, April 19.
All post offices will be open until 1pm on Good Friday and will be closed on Saturday, April 16, and Easter Monday.
The types of payment subject to the changed schedules are:
- Jobseeker's Allowance
- Jobseeker's Benefit
- Jobseeker's Benefit for the Self-Employed
- Farm Assist
- Back to Work Enterprise Allowance
- Back to Work Family Dividend
- One-Parent Family Payment
- Basic Supplementary Welfare Allowance
- Daily Expenses Allowance
The payment dates for these schemes are:
- Payments due on Monday 11 April will be available from Friday 8 April
- Payments due on Tuesday 12 will be available from April Monday 11 April
- Payments due on Wednesday 13 April will be available from Tuesday 12 April
- Payments due on Thursday 14 April will be available from Wednesday 13 April
- Payments due on Friday 15 April will be available from Thursday 14 April
- Payments due on Monday 18 April will be available from Thursday 14 April
The payment dates for all other social welfare payments are:
- Payments due on Monday 11 April will be available from Monday 11 April
- Payments due on Tuesday 12 April will be available from Tuesday 12 April
- Payments due on Wednesday 13 April will be available from Wednesday 13 April
- Payments due on Thursday 14 April will be available from Wednesday 13 April*
- Payments due on Friday 15 April will be available from Thursday 14 April
- Payments due on Monday 18 April will be available from Thursday 14 April
These are with the exception of Community Employment, Wage Subsidy Scheme and Job Initiative which will be paid on Thursday, April 14.
The payment dates for all social welfare payments will return to normal from Tuesday, April 19.
