Thousands of people living in Ireland are due to see a number of cash boosts arriving in their accounts in a matter of days.
As announced in Budget 2023 these once-off extra payments are short-term measures aimed at helping those struggling with the current cost of living crisis. Among them is a €600 energy credit confirmed in the Budget, which will be paid to electricity accounts in three instalments.
The first payment will be made in November 2022, the second in January 2023, and the third in March 2023. A number of extra once-off payments will be paid in the week beginning November 14.

These include:
- €200 if you get a Living Alone Increase
- €400 if you get the Fuel Allowance
- €500 if you get Working Family Payment
- €500 if you get Disability Allowance, Invalidity Pension, Blind Pension or if you get the yearly Carer’s Support Grant. You will get one €500 payment only, even if you are getting more than one of these payments or you are caring for more than one person.
- If you get the Carer’s Support Grant, you will get the €500 payment in the week beginning November 21.
Meanwhile, as times remain tough for many, more cost of living cash supports from the Government - on top of those already announced on Budget day - could be delivered in the New Year, Heather Humphreys has signalled. Ms. Humphreys said: “This government has always responded to the challenges that people have faced and we’ll continue to, come the New Year.
“If we need to look at other things, well then we will look at that.”
