Social Security benefit dates 2026: What to expect for rest of year

• Social Security beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th of their birth month will receive their October payment on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026.
• The final round of regular October Social Security payments will go out on Oct. 28 for recipients born between the 21st and 31st.
• Standard Social Security checks are distributed on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of every month depending on the beneficiary's birthday.
• Exceptions to the standard schedule include recipients who began receiving benefits before May 1997 or those who receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
• Remaining SSI payments for 2026 are scheduled to be issued on Oct. 30, Dec. 1, and Dec. 31.
