If you’ve ever watched a Washington Commanders’ game while also following along on Twitter, it can sometimes be a fun experience. It can also be brutal — or a mix of both. After all, the Commanders have given fans plenty of reasons not to trust them or believe in them over the years.
On Sunday, the Commanders held on for a 24-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Twitter — or X — weighed in throughout the game, whether it was coaching or the players, Washington fans always keep you entertained.
Here are some of the best social media reactions from Washington’s third victory of the season.
The secondary
Washington’s secondary keeps getting burned. Ridder is missing guys but with a more accurate QB this would be much uglier.

St-Juste having a very rough game…
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) October 15, 2023
The second-half offense
I guess Benjamin St-Juste interception don't mean anything since this offense ain't doing shit but giving the ball right back to the Falcons 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Back to .500 despite a rough 2nd half. No offense, some opportunistic defense but a ton of help from #Falcons. We'll take it. Good gms from some of the regulars but add Crowder, Toohill, Hudson, & Rodriguez. That was a battle of the league's middle. #Commanders

#Commanders naturally having their offense turn impotent on three straight possessions, giving the Commanders defense absolutely no support!
Hard to watch!— Ivan Lambert (@IvanLambert18) October 15, 2023
Offense was good in the first half, defense wasn’t. Defense was good in the second half, offense wasn’t. Not the prettiest but a good bounce back after last week.

Sam Howell
I'm in on Howell. With more experience and additions to the OL, I think we can win with him.
What are some of your takeaways from today's game? pic.twitter.com/juIJE5HNsp

Sam Howell is a good young QB has more good than bad. But I wonder if taking sacks can be coached out of him. Was an issue in college.

Sam Howell's sack count by game.
Wk 1: 6
Wk 2: 4
Wk 3: 9
Wk 4: 5
Wk 5: 5
Wk 6: 5He's still on pace to be sacked 96 times, 20 more than the record in any season. He and Daniel Jones were both on pace but Jones is out today with a neck injury (not coincidentally).

Chase Young held — a lot
I GUESS the refs missed this pretty clear hold at the top of your screen on Chase Young. pic.twitter.com/nxghqXT2Yr
— Mark Tyler(Hogs Haven) (@Tiller56) October 15, 2023
I “guess” Mathews DIDN’T just hold Chase Young again here 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/OoHXMaGxa5

I mean Chase Young is getting held every play and they just aren’t throwing any flags… this LT cannot stop him but is getting away with this.
It’s reminding me of Ryan Kerrigan.

Jahan Dotson

Jahan Dotson dropped the only pass thrown his way today. It was just the second time in his career he was held catch less. Here's his production on the season. He's been completely uninvolved. pic.twitter.com/hzWuKiiANA

Cut jahan Dotson tomorrow please and thanks
— Marcus (@HailGangHTTR) October 15, 2023
A little extreme....maybe?
Jahan Dotson has no business on the field
We are far better off without Charles Leno
Jack Del Rio is atrocious at his job
Sam has got to develop some pocket presence or a concussion is right around the corner
Happy we finally decided to throw the ball to our best weapon— Marcus (@HailGangHTTR) October 15, 2023
