Twitter users are fuming after the lead singer of The 1975 mocked an Irish girl's name.
The English band was hosting a meet-and-greet when one of the fans decided to record her interaction with the group. When frontman Matty Healy asked her name, she said, "Dervla," to which he replied, "WHAT?!"
He went on to say: "Dervla? That sounds like something you move gravel with." The clip, which was shared on Twitter, has gone viral since with many Irish people hitting out at the 33-year-old's reaction, the Irish Mirror reports.

One person said: "Brits don't deserve the beautiful names of our native language. Not for one second."
A second Twitter user said: "We need to stop being ashamed of our culture and stop allowing Brits to believe they're superior."
"Coming from a man whose name sounds like something you repeatedly wipe the soles of your feet with entering a house," added a third one.
A fourth poked fun at the events of the last week, adding: "Looking forward to the Sky interview where he's asked whether or not greater education on the subject matter should be considered"
To be fair, he did manage to spell the name correctly.
