Social housing safety inquiry after boy's fire death

A three-year-old boy's death in a house fire has prompted concerns over whether a government's social housing providers are ensuring "safe and habitable" dwellings.

Despite brave efforts to save him, Mitchell Thomas died in the blaze at his home in the Alice Springs suburb of Larapinta on June 1, 2023.
