Donald Trump is making sure everyone knows the kind of company he prefers, and it’s not what you might expect. In a video circulating on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), the President of the United States can be seen admitting that he likes to hang out with losers because it makes him feel better about himself.
In the same video, he also emphasizes that if he spends time with successful people, he’d have to listen to their success stories, and he doesn’t want to do that. Instead, he wants to be the one whose success stories others listen to. His comments have attracted a lot of attention on the platform; most of his critics can’t help but joke about the situation, as what Trump is really implying when he says he likes to hang around with losers is that members of his Cabinet, whom he always surrounds himself with, are losers.
People can’t help but poke fun at Trump for his recent remarks
According to an old saying, “You are the company you keep,” but not Donald Trump, at least, that’s what he believes. Speaking at a recent event, Trump took a moment to reflect on his life decisions, especially the friends he keeps and the people he surrounds himself with, which, according to him, are mostly “losers.” Why? Because being around losers makes him feel like a winner. Discussing this, Trump said, “I always like to hang around with losers because it makes me feel better. I hate guys who are very, very successful, and you have to listen to their success stories. I like people that like to listen to my success.”
As mentioned earlier, these words from Trump have sparked a lot of discussion, with people pointing out that he is likely also referring to the company he keeps when he says he prefers to be around losers. This includes several members of his administration holding key leadership roles and leaders of other countries he considers “friends.”
Trump ally Marco Rubio calls Iranian leaders “lunatics”
Although Donald Trump claims that Iran and the United States are engaging in productive talks that could lead to a ceasefire, Trump’s Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, presents a different story.
In a video that is going viral on X, Rubio insults Iranian leaders, calling them lunatics. He said, “These people are lunatics. They are insane. They are religious zealots who can never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon because they have an apocalyptic vision of the future. And all of their neighbors know that, by the way, which is why all of their neighbors have been supportive of the efforts we have been conducting.”
