SNP to hold emergency party conference on de-facto referendum plan

THE SNP will hold an emergency party conference to determine how to move ahead after the Supreme Court found an independence referendum cannot be held without Westminster’s permission.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed that she is asking the SNP’s National Executive Committee to convene a special conference to discuss and agree the detail of a proposed de-facto referendum.
