Winter Storm Threatens Northeast and Mid-Atlantic with Heavy Snow and Rain
Over 40 million people from Georgia to Maine are bracing themselves for a weekend of winter weather advisories. The storm system, which initially brought heavy rain across parts of the south, caused treacherous conditions in Galveston, Texas, as streets were flooded. Now, the system is making its way east, posing a threat of up to a foot of snow in parts of the Northeast and heavy rain in the Mid-Atlantic.
