Snowdonia climber, 26, fell to his death in freak accident after rock cut his rope

A Snowdonia climber plummeted to his death after a falling rock severed his rope, an inquest heard.

Kieran James Strudwick, from Uckfield in East Sussex, was climbing with his friend, Tom Haynes, on the Dolmen Ridge in North Wales when the tragedy occurred around midday on Sunday, January 30.

The pair had travelled to North Wales on a climbing trip and had stayed in Penmachno the previous night after completing a number of scrambles in the day, reports North Wales Live.
