Forecasters have predicted days of sleet and snow for Manchester as early as next week, with temperatures expected to drop to as low as -2. Reports have suggested the possible upcoming bout of snow is a result of major sudden stratospheric warming.
According to the seven day forecast by BBC Weather, the region could see periods of snow fall on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday next week.
The news comes as the Met Office warned Brits of the upcoming cold weather, with parts of the nation expected to be blanketed in the white stuff as early as next week.
