Snoop Dogg interested in investing in Scottish football club

SNOOP Dogg is interested in becoming a part-owner for Celtic after watching the Ryan Reynolds documentary "Welcome to Wrexham", a new interview has revealed.

The Gin and Juice rapper said he would be “crazy” not to consider investing in the club during an interview with the Sunday Mail.

“Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time – if the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it.

“I have watched so much soccer in Europe but I have never seen fans like the Celtic fans. There is something so special about them.”

“There is a reason why their fans are talked about across Europe – the best players and coaches in the world tell you there is nowhere like Celtic Park and I want to be a part of that.

"Their mascot is a hound – you couldn’t make that up. Snoop Dogg becomes Hoopy the Hound – that’s gotta be a match made in heaven. The headlines write themselves.”

Snoop, 52, has been a fan of the club for two decades. He wore the club’s shirt when he played at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow last year – a concert that Snoop claims was “off the shizzle”.

In the same interview, Snoop also called for a Susan Boyle comeback: “Susan Boyle is a name everybody is going to remember…

“I haven’t heard about her in a long time but Susan needs to make a comeback. I’d love to sing with her.”

Snoop, who was greeted by a bagpiper playing his hit song Still D.R.E. when he landed in Scotland last year, said Scottish audiences are the best in the world.

“Scots always give me so much love – I am welcomed with bagpipes or a Celtic jersey."
