Snoop Dogg to launch debut ‘The Cali’ rose wine in the Co-op

Snoop Dogg is expanding his budding alcohol empire by releasing his debut rosé wine in the UK.

Cali Rosé will be availble to buy from Co-Op and selected NISA locals stores nationwide from September 25.

It follows the success of the 51-year-old rapper and actor’s Cali Red, which proved a huge hit when it first reached our shores last year.

The Cali by Snoop brand has been designed by Snoop in partnership with Treasury Wine Estates “to challenge the convention of wine”.

According to a press release, Cali Rosé is “a bright Californian blend with ripe fresh flavours of strawberries, cherries and raspberry, complemented with floral and petal aromas,” which is “perfect for any drinking occasion”.

Speaking about his latest venture, the Drop It Like It’s Hot hit-maker said: “When I launched Cali Red, it got a lot of love in the UK, and I can’t wait to see what you think of the new Cali Rosé.

“For me, wine is all about the occasion. Whether you’re kicking back, cooking up a storm in the kitchen or sharing with the crew - sipped over ice with the playlist to match, my wine brings a little slice of that chilled Cali lifestyle.”

He continued: “Just like Cali Red, I created Cali Rosé to go with anything, it doesn’t need to be fancy. It might surprise you that the sweet freshness of Cali Rosé is a match made in heaven for spicy foods. Spicy chicken wings, tacos, or even a curry would work. And with this Rosé, there’s no bigger seal of approval than having my face on it. So go try it and see for yourself.”
