Snooker's governing body has suspended six Chinese players over allegations of "manipulating" professional matches for betting.
The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) announced the suspension of Lu Ning, Li Hang, Zhao Jianbo, Bai Langning and Chang Bingyu in the early hours of Saturday morning AEDT.
The WPBSA said the suspensions were linked to the banning of Liang Wenbo in October.
"A subsequent investigation … remains ongoing into allegations of manipulating the outcome of matches for betting purposes in breach of the WPBSA conduct regulations," the organisation said in a statement.
"The suspensions of all six players will remain in place until the conclusion of the investigation or any subsequent charges that may or may not be brought."
Wenbo is the highest profile of the suspended players.
The 35-year-old won the English Open in 2016, and has been prominent in many of the sport's biggest tournaments.
He was suspended from the World Championships earlier this year after he was convicted of assaulting a woman in the English city of Sheffield in 2021.
Snooker has not been immune to match-fixing in the past.
Stephen Lee received a 12-year ban from the sport in 2010 for manipulating matches he was involved in.
