US comedy institution Saturday Night Live is facing mounting criticism over a sketch widely condemned as “shameful” after it referenced last month’s Baftas slur controversy.
The row follows an incident at the British Academy Film Awards on February 22 in which Scottish campaigner John Davidson, who has Tourette syndrome, involuntarily shouted a racial slur while actors Delroy Lindo and Michael B Jordan were presenting on stage.
