Snaps of campervan stranded at low tide spark concern - but optical illusion fooled viewers

It looks like a driver has been caught out at low tide on a beach in Wales - but if you peer more closely at it the illusion fades away. Graeme Fisher took pictures of what appeared to be a campervan tossed on its side and claimed by the sea at Black Rock Sands Beach, Porthmadog, Wales, last month.

The dog food website owner shared pictures of the marooned motor on online to highlight the dangers of incoming tides in a spot often used by people to park. Some were hoodwinked by the 60-year-old's forced perspective shot, but others cottoned on quickly and joked a toy removal van was on its way to save the day.

The tongue-in-cheek Facebook post in a motorhome group racked up 1,200 likes and more than 250 comments. Graeme, from Barrow Upon Soar, Leicestershire, said: "Black Rock Sands is a long stretch of beach that you can pay to park on all day.
