Smith, Warner and Head to stay on for India T20s

Steve Smith could be given the chance to stake his claim as Australia's T20 opener, with the veteran to stay in India for five matches after the ODI World Cup.

Smith was on Saturday named in a 15-man squad for five T20s against India in late November and early December, alongside David Warner.

Australia's first-choice fast-bowling cartel will all skip the series to return home to prepare for the Test summer, as will allrounders Mitch Marsh and Cameron Green.
