Retail investors with heavy subscription of IPOs in 2026 have reaped strong returns, with almost all of these issues trading well above their offer prices even after listing-day excitement cooled. Data for mainboard IPOs that saw retail subscriptions of around 25 times or more shows that returns for these IPOs went as high as 78%.
The performance shows the IPO market has rewarded retail investors as contrary to the usual risk of sharp post-listing reversals if valuations are stretched or listing demand is driven only by short-term money. Tempsens Instruments and Sunshine Pictures are among the strongest performers in the list, each trading 78% above issue price. Technocraft Ventures is up 76%, while Advit Jewels has gained 72.5% from its offer price.
