The Slovenia Euro 2024 squad are through to the knockout stages of the tournament, a remarkable achievement for the nation.
They kicked off their second-ever European Championship campaign with two 1-1 draws, first against Denmark in Stuttgart then against Serbia. Those two results meant they knew a draw in their final Euro 2024 group game against England would be enough for them to reach the last 16 - and so it proved, with Matjaz Kek's side holding the Three Lions to a frustrating draw.
Those results meant that Slovenia finished third in Group C, qualifying for the knockout stages as one of the best third-placed sides. As a result, they set up a difficult tie with Portugal, though one they'll approach with a confident mindset - especially when considering they beat them 2-0 in a friendly back in March. The same scoreline would do just nicely.
Manager Matjaz Kek can call upon one of the most exciting young strikers in all of Europe in RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, while Jan Oblak is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Jaka Bijol is an aerial threat from set-pieces and Josip Ilicic has bags of experience.
As with every team at Euro 2024, FourFourTwo will bring you all the latest on Slovenia as we report live from the European Championship, including all the fixtures, how to watch every game and what the state of the group stages are in after each match.

Slovenia manager: Matjaz Kek
Matjaz Kek guided Slovenia to the 2010 World Cup – where they were just minutes away from advancing to the last 16 – and he's an even bigger hero now.
Widely respected and known as a superb motivator, the 62-year-old returned to take the reins of the national team for a second time in 2018 and could probably stay as long as he wants.
Slovenia's star player
Jan Oblak
Jan Oblak, still only 31, hadn't had the best of his 10 Atletico Madrid years until his Champions League shootout brilliance against Inter, though he remains an outstanding goalkeeper who deserves to star at an international tournament.
With seven Slovenian Footballer of the Year gongs to his name since 2015, he's his nation's finest ever player.
