Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia is currently in stable but serious condition after being shot multiple times in an assassination attempt on Wednesday. The incident took place outside a cultural center in Banska Bystrica where Fico was meeting with supporters.
According to hospital officials, Fico is receiving ongoing treatment in an effort to improve his condition. Defense Minister Robert Kalinak provided an update to the media outside the hospital, stating that doctors are working diligently to care for the Prime Minister.
