NEW DELHI: Ivan Schranz's lightning-fast goal propelled Slovakia to a hard-fought 1-0 upset victory over a profligate Belgium side in their European Championship Group E clash in Frankfurt on Monday.
The defeat marked Belgium's first loss in 16 matches under the guidance of coach Domenico Tedesco and evoked memories of their disappointing 2022 World Cup campaign, despite having two goals disallowed by VAR.
