Slim Chickens is set to replace the vacant former Carluccio's site at Cheshire Oaks in December.
The American fried chicken restaurant chain, founded 19 years ago in Fayetteville, Arkansas, currently has 27 sites nationwide including the Liverpool One restaurant opened in July.
According to the chain's website, the restaurant will serve "hand-breaded British chicken tenders, fresh Buffalo wings, and handmade dipping sauces." Slim Chickens restaurants have also opened up in other famous nearby shopping locations, including the Arndale and the Trafford Centre, Cheshire Live reports .

The chain replaces the Carluccio's restaurant that most recently occupied the unit. The two chains are owned by the same parent company, the Boporan Restaurant Group, which owns another chain with a restaurant on the Oaks, Ed's Easy Diner, an American diner-themed restaurant
