GARDAI appealed for witnesses last night after a grandmother died in a weekend road smash in Co Sligo.
The victim, named locally as Mary O’Driscoll from Kinlough in Co Leitrim, died in a collision involving a jeep and a car on the N15 at Creevykeel, Cliffoney, on Sunday evening.
Mrs O’Driscoll, who was in her seventies, was one of four people who were injured in the crash, which happened at around 3pm.
She was rushed to Sligo General Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Locals in Kinlough said the community was devastated by the death.
One local said: “She was well-known and respected.”
