Flights to a beautiful Portuguese island and an Australian city are the biggest inflation busters of the past year, according to new research.
If you've booked a holiday in recent months, then odds on you'll know that trips away are not cost-of-living proof.
Inflation is running high in most countries, meaning holidays there are getting more expensive.
Air travel is similarly affected, with fares in the first week of August up 30% on average for the top 36 routes compared with pre-pandemic levels, according to Kayak data.
While different airlines offer different prices, averaged out some routes have become a lot pricier.
Heathrow to Malaga flights cost £282 in 2022 compared to £89 in 2019, up £193, Which? analysis found.
Happily for those looking to escape these drizzly shores, the price of some routes has gone in the opposite direction.
The archipelago of Madeira has had the biggest price drop since before the pandemic from UK airports, with the average return flight costing £130 this year - a fall of 22%.
Getting to and from Melbourne will knock you back £1,334 now, which is a fall of 19%, compared to Sofia's 18% drop to £112, according to Skyscanner data.
Brussels' £83 return represents a 13% drop, Dublin 8% at £61 return, and Tirana also 8%, with flights costing £201 on average.
Another Australian city which is cheaper to get to now following the country's lengthy lockdown is Sydney, with return tickets costing £1,455 - down 7%.
Belfast costs £110 (down 6%) now, Paris £126 (down 5%) and Manila £878 (down 3%).
