Sky TV remote has a 'special' button that you probably don't know about

Sky TV is really popular thanks to the seemingly infinite amount of shows you can watch - but it isn't the easiest system to navigate thanks to the very confusing Sky remote. If you're not particularly tech-savvy, trying to change the channel without messing it up, or finding programmes you've recorded can seem like a daunting task.

Sky remotes do have a button that is hiding in plain sight, however, that can make your experience a whole lot easier - and you'll kick yourself when you realise where it is because it really is obvious, and it can take you to exactly where you want to be.

The Daily Star reports that eagle-eyed Sky TV subscribers have noticed that the 'Sky' logo at the top of the remote isn't just there to look pretty - it's a useful button.

Next time you load up your Sky Q box, make sure to press the logo because it gives you instant easy access to all your recordings, including movies and TV shows.

The logo button works from anywhere within the Sky interface, meaning you can get to your recordings even when you're watching a separate show.

That isn't the only handy Sky remote hack, however, as if you want to get back to the previous channel you're on without having to type in a number, you just have to press the blue arrow key on the remote.

You can also speak into your remote by pressing the voice control button on the Sky Q remote, then you just tell your TV what to do - for example, 'skip five minutes' or 'restart' the show.

And, what's more, if you ever lose the remote, you just have to press and hold the Q button on the Sky TV box and the remote will make a loud alarm sound to help you find it, much like Apple's 'Find My iPhone' feature.
