Jeff Stelling will make the transition from the TV studio to the stage, when he comes to Newcastle later this year, for a special show, which will see him joined by NUFC legend Steve Howey.
Jeff has been the face and the voice of many people's Saturday afternoons as the host of Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday, announced that he was stepping down from his high profile role in April, with the 68-year-old telling fans: "I've been at Sky for more than 30 years and loved every moment of my time as part of the Soccer Saturday team It is now the right time to move on and give Sky Sports viewers a break from my relentless rants, bad gags and over-the-top celebrations of Hartlepool United goals. It's been a lot of fun - for me at least!"
Jeff was inundated with troibutes and well wished after his final show in charge at Soccer Saturday at the end of May, with the presenter even revealing he'd received a phone call from Elton John to thank him for all his work over the years. And, while he won't be on Sky Sports every weekend from now on, Jeff isn't disappearing from the spotlight, as it's just been announced that he is coming to O2 City Hall in Newcastle on March 13, 2024.
