Sky Sports cameras pick up heated argument between Nottingham Forest players at Leicester City

Nottingham Forest players were engaged in a heated argument in the aftermath of Leicester City's third goal in Monday night's Premier League clash.

James Maddison had just fired in his second goal of the game from a free-kick, an effort that left Reds goalkeeper Dean Henderson helpless. Maddison had scored City's first after 25 minutes, with Harvey Barnes netting a second two later.

Maddison bagged his brace at the end of a devastating ten minute spell that put City firmly in control of the crunch basement battle heading into half-time. Taiwo Awoniyi hit the post early on in Forest's best chance of the game and the visitors were left to rue a big missed opportunity when City turned on the style.

And it was all getting a bit tense among Reds players, with Lewis O'Brien, Steve Cook, Morgan Gibbs-White and Cheikhou Kouyate engaged in deep conversation after Maddison's second.

Sky Sports cameras picked up footage of them arguing with O'Brien and Cook talking to each other along with Gibbs-White and Kouyate.

"He's been the star of the show and what he's done...he's got acres of space in there and a player with that quality is going to cause you problems," former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said at half-time.

"We are talking about Leicester and rightly so, Maddison has been outstanding. The big problem for Forest is that this has been a recurring theme in that when they concede one, they then concede two or three in the next ten or 15 minutes. It's happened so often for them that they kind of allow themselves to fall apart because they concede one goal and it's happened again tonight.

Fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville said of Barnes' strike: "It's an absolute killer, Maddison in that position and we see Vardy making that run. I have to say you see Harvey Barnes there, Neco Williams knows him and how he lets him cut back onto that right foot."
