SKY SPORTS apologised to viewers this afternoon after chants during the minute's applause for the Queen ahead of St Mirren's match against Celtic.
The Paisley club opted to hold a minute's applause ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash.
However, during live TV coverage of the fixture chants of "If you hate the Royal Family, clap your hands" could be heard loudly.
Celtic supporters in the away end also hoisted a banner with the same words as the minute's applause began in Paisley.
After the minute's applause, Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker apologised to any viewers offended by anything they might have heard.
Addressing the chants, he said: "Apologies if you were offended by anything you might have heard.
"Most people showed respect some did not."
